I recently upgraded my Nokia 6.1 phone to Android 10. (Lovely phone, by the way, great software support.)

By and large a nice upgrade, but there's one annoying feature that I discovered: After pressing the power button, when I put the phone down, it turned back on. This was disturbing and also causing problems if, say, instead of putting the phone down I put it in my pocket.

The actual cause was due to the interaction between the power button setting and the Lift to check phone option. To make a long story short, the undesired behavior occurs if the Lift to check phone option (under System, Gestures, in Settings) is on, and the Power button instantly locks option (under Security, Screen lock settings, in Settings) is off.

I resolved the problem by turning back on the Power button instantly locks option.
